The Opportunity

Headwaters is looking for a Sales Manager who will be responsible for prospecting customer accounts and managing the sales team of their designated territory. The perfect candidate will be able to work independently as well as manage a team to exceed our established goals. The ideal candidate will have proven metrics of directing a team to beat and exceed sales goals in previous positions held.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a team of Outside Sales Representatives in a designated territory
  • Integrate the Inside Sales Team with the Outside Sales Representatives in order to effectively exceed established goals
  • Develop leads into opportunities by nurturing relationships, understanding client problems, and helping clients understand our products
  • Utilize available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers
  • Prepare activity and forecast reports for tracking sales progress against goals
  • Develop a territory sales plan for partner distribution to meet and exceed goals
  • Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s presence in the assigned territory
  • Follow up with customer issues and complaints
  • Track Sales Team successes and report to the Director of Sales
  • Direct sales logistic team to manage customer orders and inventory for all products
  • Track all customer communications in CRM tool

Qualifications and Skills

  • 6+ years of outside sales experience
  • 5+ years of Sales Management
  • Must be willing to drive significant amounts of hours to establish and maintain customers
  • Computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software
  • Self-motivated, team oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
